Mike grew up in South Carolina and has served churches in Lexington, Andrews,and Garden City. Mike began his duties as senior pastor of Calvary on June 1, 2008. He received his undergraduate and Law Degrees from the University of South Carolina in Columbia and a Masters of Divinity Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Mike is married to the former Caroline Bailey, and they have four children: Taylor, Bailey, Colin and Callie. Taylor and Bailey are college students, and Colin and Callie keep Caroline and Mike very busy. They can usually be found at a soccer field when they aren't at church. Mike's other interests include reading and jogging, as well as preaching and teaching God's Word. Mike's love for the Lord shows in his ministry as he works with people of all ages.
Rev. Eddie Stewart
Pastor Education & Outreach
Rev. Eddie Stewart began serving as Associate Pastor Education/Outreach on July 5. Eddie is a graduate of Charleston Southern University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was pastor of Children, Youth, and Recreation at Elim Baptist Church in Effingham, SC, immediately prior to accepting the call to Calvary. He previously served at Unity Baptist Church in Florence, as well as Kilbourne Park Baptist Church in Columbia. Welcome to Calvary!
Mr. Jimmy Wilson
Minister of Youth
Jimmy grew up in Dillon, SC. He graduated from Francis Marion University and is married to Chastity. Their daughter, Gracie is 6 years old. Jimmy has been involved in youth ministry for about eight years. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Fellowship of Christian Atheletes. He likes basketball, golf, and hanging around and ministering to and with students. Jimmy has participated in and led many mission trips and youth camps. His desire is to serve God, disciple his youth, and reach out to a lost world.
Mrs. Sharon King
Kindergarten Director
Preschool and Children's Director
Sharon attended local public schools and earned her college degrees from Francis Marion University. "Miss Kingdom" as dubbed by a student, taught 4K and 5K at Calvary six years and has served as director ten. In 2008, the church also called Sharon as Preschool and Children's Director.Sharon thinks children are exciting and shares their love for learning through discovery and doing. Says Sharon, “Children are open to ideas. They express their emotions, they’re honest, real, and eager to do. Their outlook on life and learning keeps me young at heart.”Sharon, husband Mike, and daughters, Amy and Anna like to travel, camp, and spend time with family and friends. One of Sharon’s life verses from the Bible is Mark 12:30. “Love thy Lord thy God with all thy mind, all thy heart, all thy soul, and all thy strength”.

Mrs. Linda McLeod
Childcare Director
Linda is a native of Pelzer, South Carolina and a graduate of Anderson College, Anderson, South Carolina. She has lived in Florence for the past thirty-five years. She was married to the late George McLeod for thirty-eight years and is the mother of three children and four grandchildren. Linda served as Calvary's After School Care Director since it began in 1991 through 2000. She has also served as a Sunday School teacher, Children's Director, Mission Friends Director, and taught kindergarten for many years.
Linda is now serving Calvary as the Childcare Director. Linda and her staff oversee the nursery to ensure parents that their children are being well taken care of during church activities. Calvary's nursery primarily serves children that are three years old and younger.
